Milk White Glass -- “Bianco Latte” in Italian -- is an opaque, milky white glass, invented around 1450 on Murano to imitate the first Chinese porcelain to arrive in Venice. Today, the spare, utilitarian quality of this material, used in our Milk White Murano glass pendant and table lights, lends itself well for illumination because of its wonderful light-diffusing properties.
